At the Buzzer is a sports culture and entertainment source started in 2023 which encompasses podcasts, YouTube videos, highlight reels, articles and other social media content. The podcast is hosted by sports journalist Derran Cobb and features other Ball State students Garrien Sharp, Amadou Diallo, and Collin Hatfield. The show is committed to telling NBA, NFL, College Football, Men’s and Women’s College Basketball news along with memorable stories while keeping it real. 

Staff

Derran Cobb “DC”

Derran grew up loving sports, and he played basketball for many years, playing in the AAU circuit and Varsity hoops in high school. After high school he got into sports journalism while at Ball State University. Since then, he’s become an award-winning student journalist. As a writer, broadcaster and photographer, he’s done work on the Pacers, Colts, Fever, Ball State sports, Professional Volleyball, WWE and the Indy 500.

Amadou Diallo

Since a young age, Amadou had a passion for sports and fell in love with sports media, spending his time watching ESPN and other major sporting networks. He is currently a junior at Ball State, having worked in live production on ESPN broadcasts, photography, videography, and creative storytelling. Right now, he assists in Pacers video production. He’s also written for the Daily News sports section, and is the Vice President of the Ball State NABJ Chapter. He is an artist behind the camera.

Garrien Sharp “G-Money”

‘G’ has been around football since he can remember. He played varsity football and then at the collegiate level before arriving at Ball State, where he is now a student assistant safeties coach for the Cardinals. Coach G has extensive football knowledge, doing film breakdowns for fun.

Collin Hatfield

Collin has been a basketball enthusiast and avid ball-knower for a long time. While in high school, he began content creation, making videos breaking the down NBA to X’s and O’s. Since then, he’s ran the Collin Hatfield show, now aligned with At the Buzzer.
